OSRAM Opto Semiconductors launches OSTAR headlights

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has introduced the new OSTAR headlights. With the launch of the OSTAR headlights and the upcoming OSTAR headlights, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors will enter the automotive headlight applications based on both reflective and projection systems. The system's OSTAR headlights deliver super bright white light and are suitable for high and low beam applications with headlights, fog lights, daytime running lights and adaptive headlight systems. Ellen Sizemore, LED/IR marketing director at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, said that LEDs provide concentrated light from a small illuminating area, so they are suitable for automotive headlights. LEDs will make a fundamental change in the forward lighting of the car for designers. Provide unprecedented design freedom and unlimited design possibilities. The new high-power light source is equipped with five large ThinGaN chips, and the high brightness and illumination emitted by the patented ThinGaN architecture meets the required performance of halogen and HID. The unique package of OSTAR headlights simplifies LED forward lighting integration. Precise mounting of the LED chip and low thermal resistance ceramic carrier maximize brightness and extend life at hood temperatures. The integrated connector and mounting holes eliminate the need for solder mounting to the automotive headlight package. The OSTAR headlights comply with the automotive AEC-Q101 standard. Shock and moisture resistant, these sources emit white light in the ECE and SAE standard range. The OSTAR headlights and the OSTAR headlights Hot Spot emit white light, which is closer to natural daylight than other headlight sources. Whiter light helps improve visibility, provide better road visibility and improve response time for a more secure driving experience.
