Coal-fired power stations will be built near the Kara-Keche and Min-Kush coal mines.
The first phase of the project will take three years. The annual production of primary aluminum will reach 250,000 tons, the annual production capacity of bauxite will reach 500,000 tons, and the power generation will reach 500 megawatts.
The entire project is expected to be completed within 5 years. After the entire operation, the capacity of the smelter will double.
The total investment for the aluminum project is $3.2 billion, and the entire project (including infrastructure) is estimated to cost $5 billion.
