This time, Samsung Motor has developed a high-power LED "Sunnix6" for general lighting that is close to natural light. The product is a 2W high output power LED for a variety of applications including general lighting, architectural lighting and traffic signals. The product uses a self-developed fluorescent substance that can achieve about 90% of natural light. In addition, compared with traditional lighting, it has a longer life and is a "new environmentally friendly product" that does not contain harmful substances such as mercury and lead.
In the process of equipping Sunnix6 with EAGLED, Samsung Motor is responsible for the development of lighting-specific LEDs that are close to natural light, and Korea Optical Technology Institute is responsible for the development of cutting-edge backplane technologies such as heat sinks and boards. It solves several technical problems that LED lighting lamps are difficult to use as general lighting, such as insufficient color performance, glare, and insufficient brightness caused by heat dissipation.
EAGLED consumes 8.5W, which is only about 40% and 20% of the same brightness three-wavelength fluorescent and incandescent lamps. The life span is more than 50,000 hours, which is about 4000 to 5000 hours longer than fluorescent lamps and about 1000 hours longer for incandescent lamps. This product is also suitable for use in places such as tunnels where it is inconvenient to change the lamp frequently.
