Teach you a trick to make it easy to fix the daylight power problem of Lynx Box 2 remote control

In the past few days, it was discovered that the White Lynx Box 2 remote controller at home was very power-consuming, and that the new battery was only less than 2 weeks before it had no electricity. In contrast, the remote control of the Golden Lynx Box 2 had more power, Basically can use 2 months or so, the two are far apart, the same brand of a pair of batteries, white version of the remote control has been changed four or five times, and the black remote control has not changed the battery, what is the cause of white What about remote control?
Today, after dinner, nothing happened. Then the two remote controls were compared. Two remote control batteries were removed. The resistance values of the positive and negative electrodes of the remote control were measured with a digital multimeter respectively. After measurement, the positive and negative resistances of the black remote control were measured. The value is 4.55MΩ, while the positive and negative resistance of the white remote control is 0.3KΩ. Obviously, the white remote control has a short-circuiting tendency.

So, I decided to open the back cover of the white remote control. First, use a small Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws at the battery cover, and then use a large flat-blade screwdriver to open the entire back cover of the remote control.

This time, finally see the circuit board layout, starting from the power circuit to find the cause and found that the power input has 2 filter capacitors C21 and C22, are the chip capacitors, I suspect that the capacitor short circuit caused, after all, the power input The small end resistance value keeps the battery in a discharged state. Since the two capacitors are connected in parallel and cannot measure the capacitance, I can only use the soldering iron to solder both capacitors down. When both capacitors are removed, I Measured at both ends of the positive and negative resistance of the power supply, 1.758MΩ, basically can be judged as a damaged filter capacitor.

So with a digital multimeter to measure the resistance of two capacitors, one of the C21's small capacitor resistance is about 500KΩ, significantly smaller, the following look at the small capacitor under the macro.

Then, re-solder the bulk capacitor and measure the resistance across the power supply again, at 1.872MΩ, which is almost normal. Close the back cover of the remote control, insert the new battery, press the button, the indicator light shows normal, open the white version of the cat's magic box 2, test each button is normal, finally screw on the four screws, close the battery cover, and you're done!

The following is the soldered circuit board, one of which is a small filter capacitor C21 has been removed. In fact, as a filter capacitor, its impedance should be very large, from the resistance of the capacitor can determine the quality of the capacitor, the role of this filter capacitor is nothing more than a stable voltage and current, but for the battery as a power input, remove Filter capacitor is not a problem.

Precautions:
1. When the rear cover of the remote controller is opened, the key shift is avoided. After closing the back cover of the remote control for the first time, I find that the key icon is not correct and is easy to shift. Therefore, be careful when disassembling.
2. When welding, it is necessary to remove the battery, otherwise the power supply terminal is easily short-circuited and burns other components.
3, if you can not determine which capacitor is damaged, you can use the exclusion method to test the capacitor by one by one, you can also remove the two capacitors at the same time.
