CEVA, the world's leading provider of cellular, multimedia and connectivity DSP IP platforms, announced that NXP Semiconductors' QN9000 family of Bluetooth Smart SoC products and solutions are based on the RivieraWaves Bluetooth Smart IP implementation. NXP's SoC leverages the ultra-low power consumption of the RivieraWaves Bluetooth Smart to dramatically simplify the next generation of wearables, smart homes, digital health and other Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Applications and many other "machine-to-machine" communications provide a platform with very low power consumption, low computational load and low logic gate count. This Bluetooth Smart IP complies with the latest Bluetooth Smart 4.2 specification and consists of a hardware baseband controller and a complete software stack including Profiles.
In addition to Bluetooth Smart 4.2, the RivieraWaves Bluetooth Smart Ready 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless connectivity IP platforms enable seamless integration for customers who require multiple wireless standards in their product design. These platforms also include a smart co-existence interface that handles Wi-Fi/Bluetooth communication arbitration to avoid mutual interference.
