China set 2015 battery cathode material capacity target

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) announced on February 27, 2012 that the new material industry development plan for 2011-2015 shows that the goal is to develop high-efficiency, high-capacity (≥150mAh/g), long-life (>2000 Secondary) high-safety cathode materials, including lithium-ion phosphate systems, NMC, and LMO series. By 2015, China will add 45,000 tons/year of cathode material capacity.

In general, the goal is to achieve breakthroughs in the field of energy storage materials to meet the needs of new energy vehicles.
