Microsemi Acquires Brijot Imaging Systems Technology and Related Assets

This acquisition enhances Microsemi's portfolio of millimeter wave technology and is committed to providing leading suppliers of power management, safety, reliability and high performance semiconductor technology products to Microsemi Corporation (NYSE: Nasdaq). MSCC) Microsemi Corporation (NASDAQ:MSCC), a leading supplier of semiconductor technology that is committed to achieving intelligence, security, and interconnected world, announces the acquisition of millimeter waves from privately held company Brijot Imaging Systems Technology and related assets.

Microsemi believes that its existing millimeter-wave technology combined with newly acquired technology will enable the company to take the lead in passive millimeter-wave imaging solutions and provide airports, military agencies, and government and law enforcement agencies with the required imaging products. It plays an important role in detecting weapons and prohibited items. Metso's products will include the industry's first millimeter-wave scanning bar solution for contactless inspections, as well as providing customers with solutions to prevent internal damage and promote workplace safety.

David Hall, vice president of the US-Semiconductor RFIS division, said: "This acquisition reinforces the US-MGM's millimeter-wave technology product range in the 70-100GHz range.
