Three service models and four deployment models of cloud computing

Cloud computing technologies are based on three special cloud computing service models, all of which are popular, effective, flexible, and user-friendly. Therefore, the basic model of cloud architecture is:

1. Infrastructure as a service: Infrastructure benefits include computers, networks, storage, load balancing equipment, and virtual machines. These hardware and software resources for end users can be expanded or contracted according to their needs.

2. Software as a service: As the name suggests, this model includes similar virtual desktops, various practical applications, content resource management, e-mail, software, and other software parts. In this model, cloud service providers are responsible for installing, managing, and operating various software, while customers log in and use them through the cloud.

3. Platform as a service: In this model, the hosting service provider helps customers by providing a working platform, including execution runtime, databases, Web services, development tools, and operating systems. Customers do not need to manually allocate resources.

There are four deployment models of cloud computing, each with unique functions to meet different requirements of users.

1. Public cloud: Under this model, applications, resources, storage, and other services are all provided to users by cloud service providers. Most of these services are free, and some are paid according to usage. This model can only be accessed and used using the Internet. At the same time, this model is more assured in terms of private information and data protection. This kind of deployment model can usually provide scalable cloud services and can be set up efficiently.

2. Private cloud: This kind of cloud infrastructure is dedicated to serving a certain enterprise, whether it is managed by itself or a third party, responsible or hosted by a third party, it does not matter. As long as there is no problem with the method used, it can bring significant help to the enterprise. However, what this model has to face is that the company must be responsible for correcting and inspecting security issues. Otherwise, in addition to the problem, it can only bear the consequences. In addition, the entire system also needs to pay for its own purchase, construction and management. This cloud computing model can produce a wide range of positive benefits. From the model name, it can be seen that it can provide owners with services with sufficient advantages and functions.

3. Community Cloud: This model is built between multiple companies with similar goals in a particular group. They share a set of infrastructure, and companies also seem to move forward together. The costs incurred are shared by them, so the cost savings that can be achieved are not great. Members of the community cloud can log in to the cloud to obtain information and use applications.

4. Hybrid cloud: A hybrid cloud is a mixture of two or more cloud computing models, such as a mixture of public and private clouds. They are independent of each other, but combined within the cloud, they can take advantage of the various cloud computing models that are mixed.

Applications:

The Grounding Transformer is a kind of auxiliary transformer that used to offer an earth point for the Delta-Star system. They are typically used for providing a path to ground for unbalanced load current and for fault currents on system where a suitable ground is otherwise not available.

Design:

The grounding transformers are generally designed with one of the two configurations: Zig-Zag (Zn) with or without an auxiliary winding or a Wye (Ynd) with a delta connected secondary. The Zig-Zag connection is preferred as it is more cost effective and have smaller size than the Delta-Wye unit. For more safety, neutral earthing resistors (NER) are often used in conjunction with the grounding transformer to limit neutral ground fault current magnitude. The rated voltage of the NER should be equal to the line to ground voltage of the grounding transformer. The current rating and duration should match the grounding transformer
