Innovative XLamp® XM-L LEDs bring record high light efficiency to LED lighting fixtures
Beijing, March 7, 2011 - Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE), a market leader in LED lighting, announces the introduction of neutral white and warm white XLamp® XM-L LEDs with color temperatures between 2600K and 5000K. The complete range of XM-L LED products has provided unprecedented light output and high luminous efficiency for a wide range of indoor and outdoor lighting applications, further consolidating Cree's leading position in the industry.
XM-L LEDs deliver unparalleled performance in a wide range of drive currents. At 350 mA drive current, the warm white (3000 K) XLamp XM-L LED has a luminous flux of 113 lm and a luminous efficacy of up to 117 lm/W; the neutral white (4000K) XM-L LED has a luminous flux of up to 134 lm and a luminous efficacy of up to 138 lm/ W. At 700 mA drive current, the warm white (3000 K) XLamp XM-L LED has a luminous flux of up to 220 lm and a luminous efficacy of up to 108 lm/W; the neutral white (4000K) XLamp XM-L LED has a luminous flux of up to 260 lm and is luminous. Up to 128lm/W. With a 3.0A drive current, the neutral white (4000K) XLamp XM-L LED has a luminous flux of up to 850lm and a luminous efficacy of up to 84lm/W.
Unlike LED solutions that use hundreds of lumens of light with large package and scattered light sources, XM-L LEDs offer breakthrough performance in a compact package and smaller source size.
