Reasons to Buy
The original 360-degree camera image of the house looked blurry and hadn't changed for a while. I used it reluctantly at first, but my opinion has completely changed now. Just when Aunt's family came over, I realized how important it is to have a good, real-value smart camera. So I followed others' orders too. 99 yuan is not something I can afford to lose, and I definitely don’t want to be fooled. Besides, there’s been some positive word-of-mouth about this product, and I believe the brand won’t let me down. It was almost forgotten after placing the order, but the package finally arrived.
The production date was September 15th, and I received it on the 21st. I’m quite satisfied with the product.
Appearance Gallery
The courier bag doesn’t look very big, so I thought the device would be small. But it turned out to be bigger than expected.
Inside the box, there was a small cardboard box with the "Mi" logo on it.
The stand isn’t very stable, which is a bit confusing.
From this angle, the camera looks a bit bulgy.
After passing through the second level of packaging, there was a third heavy layer. It felt a bit excessive.
Touching the box, it felt less premium compared to Xiaomi phones or smartwatches. Even though it's from the Mi family, it felt like it had been handled roughly. The box was loose and lacked texture, which explains why even with heavy packaging, it still felt fragile.
I might be overthinking, but considering the price of 99 yuan, I don’t mind a little imperfection as long as the product works well.
From this angle, it looks a bit strange.
Opening the Box
The bottom of the box is lined with cardboard, but it feels a bit cheap.
This video camera looks good with its big eyes.
When I took it out, it seemed a bit larger than expected.
The top and bottom of the box are embedded with charging cables and adapters.
The cable is flat and easy to manage.
All the family photos are included, and I feel a bit guilty for not being more careful. There are many instructions in the package.
The charger is 5V2A.
The cable feels a bit cheaper than the one from 360, and the firmness is also slightly lower.
It can be fixed to the wall or ceiling using the base—no extra accessories needed.
The big eyes are really charming.
The back should have good cooling performance.
Instructions
Basic setup is straightforward. Just download the Mi Home app and follow the steps. It connects quickly and easily.
You need to log in again.
I got stuck trying to plug in the power because I couldn’t find another port.
It was placed on the base.
Compared to the original 360 camera, this one feels more powerful and impressive.
There are physical buttons underneath, making setup easier. The 360 version requires a pin and a card to set up, while this one is much more convenient.
This is truly a generous product. The charger is generous, and I didn’t expect such value from a small brand.
Download the Mi Home app and connect the camera
Add Device
Use the camera to scan the QR code—it works smoothly.
Connecting the device is fast, and it confirmed successfully soon after.
Cut a screen—image clarity is good.
Colors are bright and vivid.
Use the buttons below to adjust the horizontal direction 360 degrees and 180 degrees vertically—very convenient.
I ignored the messy desk, sofa, and surroundings. It’s nothing serious.
Looking up gives a better view.
The initial experience wasn’t huge, but overall, the usability is good.
Experience Feelings
The texture feels stronger than the original 360, with clear images and adjustable vision. It’s cool! Honestly, this is the PTZ version, and you can get it for just 99 yuan? That’s incredible.
Summary
In short, if you can get it for 99 yuan, it’s a great value smart camera. Even without discounts, I think 149 yuan is reasonable. The advantages include affordability and cost-effectiveness. After inserting a memory card, it offers more application scenarios and features, including face recognition. However, the rectangular frame sometimes reacts slowly. If someone stays in front of the camera, the tracking effect isn’t ideal.
The downside is that the cable is slightly shorter and there are fewer mounting options. Also, since it uses the Mi Home app, you have to manually connect the camera each time you open the app instead of it connecting automatically. I’m not sure if this can be adjusted, but it feels inconvenient.
For me, the Mijia camera made it easy to see every corner of my home, especially when my kids come home from school. Erbao is always mischievous, but it’s reassuring to know the family is always safe. I can forgive the flaws, given the price and value.
