The LED tube test is tested according to the method required by the LM79-08 standard. The test items cover total luminous flux, light efficiency, correlated color temperature, color rendering index, total harmonic distortion, power factor, etc., and the test results are the latest DLC in the United States. (V2.1) requires a comparative analysis.

In this round of test samples, there is only one sample of the nominal light effect parameters on the outer packaging.

The average luminous efficacy of the LED tube tested in this round is 80.38 lm/W, and only one meets the requirements of DLC, and the TT52835 model product from Jingying Lighting. The measured light effect data is the lowest from the 14W T5 tube of the Sunlight, the measured light efficiency is 54.4lm/W, and the measured luminous flux is 672lm.

The reporter learned that the current LED light tube mainstream light efficiency is about 85-95lm / W. There are only 9 products that meet this range, accounting for 50%.

Shi Hongsheng, head of sales at Zhongming Semiconductor, said that the scope of definition of light efficiency is relatively wide, generally 60-110LM/W, depending on the positioning of the manufacturer. The small lamp of the small factory can achieve 60-70 LM/W or so. The large factory or the manufacturer with higher technical requirements can achieve 80-100 LM/W, and the energy-saving renovation project requires about 100 LM/W.

"Light efficiency is only a part of the luminaire. The standard for measuring the quality of the light source is multi-faceted." Shi Hongsheng said that the overall measurement is from three aspects: first, luminous flux, luminous flux determines light efficiency; second, uniformity; third is light color The purity, no color difference drift and so on.

Lai Cuiying said that LED lighting products have many specifications, including the appearance, which will affect the light efficiency. Conversely, LEDs do not have a uniform industry standard to locate.

“The light transmittance and test method of the lampshade also have a great influence on the light efficiency.” Lin Min, a research and development engineer at Top Lighting, said that the transparent lampshade is generally around 110 LM/W and has a haze of about 90 LM/W. Using the integrating sphere, the operation is not standard, the method of placement, the position is wrong, and the test results are affected. With the photometer, the human error is relatively small.

Many veterans in the industry mentioned that cost is a great consideration for light efficiency. Some manufacturers pursue low cost, and the quality of components such as chips is poor. Finally, the overall lighting effect is not good.
