Today's mobile computing and desktop computing platforms require more current than previous generation products, while requiring smaller area and size than ever before. The integrated devices in the 4.5mm x 3.5mm PowerPAK MLP55-31L package launched today can output up to 30A continuous current, and the 5mm x 5mm PowerPAK MLP55-31L packaged devices can output 40A continuous current. In addition to being able to output large currents and saving space, these power stages also reduce package parasitic parameters, enabling the switching frequency to reach up to 2MHz, thereby reducing the size of the output filter and further reducing the size and height of the overall solution. To improve performance, the high-side and low-side MOSFETs of the device use Vishay's best current Gen IV TrenchFET® technology to reduce switching and conduction losses. The power stage driver IC is compatible with many PWM controllers and supports 5V tri-state PWM logic levels.

SiC530, SiC531, SiC532, SiC631, and SiC632 are suitable for synchronous buck converters, DC / DC voltage regulator modules, multiphase VRDs for CPUs and GPUs, and memories. To improve light load efficiency in these applications, the device's driver IC is equipped with a diode modulation mode circuit and a zero current detection circuit. Adaptive dead time control helps to further improve efficiency at all load points. To support the light load requirements of PS4 mode of IMVP8, when the system is running in standby mode, the power stage will reduce the current to 5μA, and can wake up from this state within 5μs. The device is RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and has protection functions such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO).
