Uber, a well-known taxi application, is testing a new system in Seattle that allows users to confirm the vehicle based on the LED color on the windshield of the vehicle.
Specifically, local beta test users in Seattle can now choose a “vehicle display color†on their mobile app while calling through Uber. Then, the front windshield led display strip of the Uber vehicle that receives the order will then be displayed according to the user's request.
Currently, Uber has provided the Seattle-based Uber driver who participated in the test with the LED strip , called "Spot bars," which will automatically light up when it is about to arrive at the user's location. Of course, the driver can also identify the vehicle by lighting his mobile phone to a predetermined user's choice of color and attaching it to the vehicle's windshield.
According to outside analysis, this new color system will help subscribers who are not familiar with it to quickly find their own Uber vehicles. If all goes well, we believe that Uber will soon launch the system in more markets outside of Seattle.

According to outside analysis, Uber’s move to recruit map technology talents indicates that the $50 billion startup has focused on map technology.
