Immersive browsing products, MasterCard partners with accessories suppliers to launch VR shopping

MasterCard is collaborating with Swarovski, a renowned name in crystal design, to create immersive virtual reality experiences. This innovative partnership allows users to explore and shop for products from the comfort of their homes, using Masterpass to make purchases seamlessly.

The new VR application focuses on Swarovski's Atelier home decor collection. With a VR headset, users can virtually tour five different themed spaces, browsing the products in an interactive and engaging way. The experience not only showcases the items but also highlights their craftsmanship, pricing, and the creative inspiration behind each piece.

Once launched, users will be able to log into their Masterpass account and make purchases simply by clicking the Masterpass button at the bottom of each product page. This streamlined process makes shopping more convenient and secure.

Linda Kirkpatrick, Executive Vice President of MasterCard, emphasized the company’s vision: “At MasterCard, we aim to offer consumers the most seamless and secure shopping experience possible, no matter when or how they choose to shop.
