Although China Telecom seems to be ahead of China Mobile at the NB-IoT commercial time point, it does not mean that China Telecom can rely on NB-IoT to obtain better than eMTC revenue. China Mobile's ARPU value through commercial eMTC will be far away. Far higher than NB-IoT. From the perspective of consumer-oriented business, eMTC is not only applicable to people but also to people.

At present, NB-IoT is oriented to static scenes. Its business model may have too many limitations in the outside world. It is more based on industry applications, such as smart meter reading, smart lighting, smart parking, etc., and supports positioning in the future.

However, once the cost of the NB-IoT module can be reduced to a predictable price due to market size, in the long run, NB-IoT will be a very imaginative market due to the existence of a large-scale market, but it seems to be too optimism.

On the other hand, eMTC supports VoLTE+ mobility + location function, so it will be more flexible to meet the needs of commercial scenarios, but it is not equivalent to eMTC is better than NB-IoT.

However, the current fierce competition in the market has determined the value space of NB-IoT, not because the technology has limited the development of NB-IoT, just like the high-speed rail and the public bus, the market orientation is different.
