The Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce conducted random inspections on LED lamps produced and sold by 11 companies in Hong Kong, Zhongshan, Foshan and other places. They commissioned the Jiangsu Provincial Electric Light Source Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center to inspect the signs and insulation resistance after moisture treatment. Electrical strength, mechanical strength, power factor, lamp power, initial light efficiency / luminous flux and color rendering index. The sampling results showed that only 20 batches of LED lamps that were sampled were qualified.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Consumer Protection Department of the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, 18 batches of unqualified LED lamp unqualified items are mainly power factor, lamp power, initial light effect/light flux, color rendering index and color product tolerance.
According to the national standard, the color rendering index of self-ballasted LED lamp products for general lighting should be greater than 77. In this sampling, 17 batches did not meet the requirements, and the failure rate was as high as 85%. If the color rendering index is unqualified, the actual reflection value of the object will be insufficient, and the color of the object under the lamp will be different from the color of the real object. The long-term use is harmful to the eyesight of the human eye.
The lamp power is also one of the unqualified items in the sampling of the LED lights. There are 16 batches, and the unqualified rate has reached 80%. The lamp power reflects the energy consumption index of the product, and the power is too large or too small, which reflects that the actual production capacity of the enterprise does not match the design capability.
As an LED luminaire closely related to the lives of ordinary people, the qualified rate of products sold on the market is so low that consumers cannot be relieved. Poor quality LED lamps not only have a short life span, but also have an impact on vision for long-term use. The relevant person in charge of the Consumer Protection Department of the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce introduced that the reason for the low qualified rate of LED lamps is mainly because the current self-ballasted LED lamp manufacturers for general lighting are mostly small and medium-sized enterprises, lacking brand awareness, low quality awareness, and some production.
