Before proceeding, make sure you have the correct firmware version installed on your device. You can check the current version by navigating to the settings menu.
Here’s a visual reference for the current setup:
To proceed with the update: 1. Copy the accessory package to the root directory of a USB flash drive. 2. Insert the USB into the box. 3. Power on the device and press the red power button on your remote control. 4. Enter the recovery mode (rec). 5. Select the first option to start the upgrade. 6. Wait patiently while the process completes. Once the upgrade is successful, the device should first go through the operator’s verification. After that, it should automatically launch the Sofa Butler desktop. If it doesn’t, press the Home button on your remote to access it manually. If an update prompt appears for the Sofa Butler, be sure to install it. Once the rooting is complete, you’ll have full access to the Sofa Butler desktop and its features. After the rooting process, you can freely install third-party applications such as live streaming services, on-demand content, games, and more via the Sofa Butler. Some examples include TV, CIBN, VST, TV Cat, Cloud Audio, Tate, and many others. Here are some screenshots showing the interface after the update:
If after the successful crack, you’re directed to the Sofa Housekeeper and see a “network access error†message, try connecting to a Wi-Fi network and then re-enter the Sofa Butler application. This should resolve the issue and allow you to continue using the enhanced features.
