Eonite pushes new solution to solve VR head tracking from inside to outside from Baidu VR

Eonite, a US-based company based in California, announced on January 12 that it will launch a new solution "Eonite Vantage Head Tracker" that can achieve "inside-out" (inside-out) tracking through inexpensive sensors on the market.

- Two tracking technologies, "inside-out" and "outside-in"

The Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, which are currently in the market, have adopted the "outside-in" technology that is relatively easy to implement in terms of cost and technology.

Microsoft's Hololens uses "inside-out" (inside-out) tracking technology, which is costly due to the need to provide very high-precision location tracking.

The performance is very clear, and the combination of low-cost sensors and mid-level GPUs enables high-precision (less than 1mm) and low-latency “inside-out” (inside-out) tracking!

- It sounds very good, but the specific experience and market performance have to look forward to the official system in the future.

Incremental Encoder

Incremental encoders provide speed, direction and relative position feedback by generating a stream of binary pulses proportional to the rotation of a motor or driven shaft. Lander offers both optical and magnetic incremental encoders in 4 mounting options: shafted with coupling, hollow-shaft, hub-shaft or bearingless. Single channel incremental encoders can measure speed which dual channel or quadrature encoders (AB) can interpret direction based on the phase relationship between the 2 channels. Indexed quadrature encoders (ABZ) are also available for homing location are startup.
